About ACS Group Of Companies
Alcohol Countermeasure Systems (International) Inc. is an international group of companies with one common goal: to promote road safety through industry-leading breath alcohol testing technology.ACS began as a research division of Borg-Warner in the 1970′s with the mandate to develop a technology that could prevent a vehicle from being started if the driver was impaired. This research group was later incorporated in 1976 in the United States as Alcohol Countermeasure Systems, Inc., an Illinois corporation, and in Canada as Alcohol Countermeasure Systems Inc., an Ontario corporation. (The Canadian company was later renamed Alcohol Countermeasure Systems Corp. in 1986).
In 1991, Felix J.E. Comeau acquired both companies and under his guidance, ACS developed new alcohol sensing technologies that are used in a variety of applications spanning a variety of markets including automotive, industrial, law enforcement, as well as public and personal safety.
Mr. Comeau restructured the corporate group in 2005 by forming a holding company, Alcohol Countermeasure Systems (International) Inc. to be the parent of all companies within the group. Today, Alcohol Countermeasure Systems provides a coherent single vision with close attention to quality products and services. through offices in Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, China, Australasia and the Americas, employing over 500 talented individuals to design, manufacture and market some of the most accurate and reliable alcohol sensing equipment and to deliver the most professional alcohol interlock services in the world.

About Our Breath Alcohol Testing Products
ACS is proud to affirm that all final assembly and testing of our breath alcohol testing products occur at our manufacturing facilities in Toronto, Canada. From personal alcohol testers like DRIVESAFE™,to portable institutional breath alcohol testers like ALERT™ J5, ACS employs alcohol-specific electrochemical sensor technology to ensure accuracy and stability, no matter the application.In addition, ACS employed infrared technology at 9.43 µm is to develop the world’s first truly portable infrared evidential breath alcohol tester – the SAFIR™ Evolution with OIML certification.

About ALCOLOCK Compliance Monitoring Programs
Using the INTELLIHUM™ anti-circumvention technology and trusted electrochemical alcohol sensors, ACS manufactures alcohol interlocks that are utilized through the ALCOLOCK branded service delivery network. Secure proprietary software applications allow ALCOLOCK ease of scheduling and managing client data while adhering to government regulations for client personal privacy and encryption. ALCOLOCK service centres provide quality alcohol interlock installation, monitoring and friendly customer service to legislated (DUI/DWI) ignition interlock programs around the world.ACS first offered alcohol interlock services to government jurisdictions in Canada with the goal to remediate drink drivers.
